Mascara on the bottom lashes – yes or no?
I would definitely say yes EXCEPT if you have dark circles under your eyes - then I would say no. If you have bad dark circles consider dyeing your lashes so you get the color without the heaviness and shadows.
Take advantage of natural light and use the visor mirror in your car to tweeze your eyebrows (but not while you’re driving!)
Add a liquid bronzer to your foundation if it gets too light or if you just want a little more of a glow.

What inspired you to become a makeup artist?
While in college studying economics I saw the movie F/X and thought “I want to do that!” I was also inspired watching the Academy Awards the first year makeup was made an annual category. I remember Rick Baker won the Oscar for his work in An American Werewolf in London.
What advice would you give someone looking to become a professional makeup artist?
Go to school and educate yourself. Practice, practice, practice. Work any makeup jobs you can in order to get as much experience as possible. Don’t give up! Remember that art is subjective - not everyone will like what you do but that doesn’t mean that it’s not good. Lastly, don’t be afraid of color!
What is the biggest mistake you see people making with cosmetics?
Using too much foundation. Also, not using enough color on their lips. A bright color lipstick can brighten your whole face.
What three items would you want with you on a desert island?
A sexy man, a tent and an iPod.
What is your biggest guilty pleasure?
Cake!
Where is your favorite place to relax?
The beach. Anywhere with sand and water!
Do you have a makeup secret to help women look younger?
The key is to drink lots of water, moisturize, and get regular facials. Also, avoid too much powder.
What are your favorite CARGO products?
I have tons. I love the EyeBase. The EyeBase rocks! And the OneBase foundation and concealer in one. Every lip product CARGO has is amazing. I love all the lip glosses, and the PlantLove Lipsticks are my favorite!
Are there any CARGO products you think everyone should own?
Yes, the EyeBase and the OneBase foundation and concealer in one.
